Sitamarhi  Harchowka

Sitamarhi-Harchuka cave situated on the banks of river Mawai has 17 chambers. It is also known as Sita Ki Rasoi. There is a boulder here. People consider it to be the footprint of Lord Rama. 17 chambers have been made by cutting the cave situated on the Mawai river bank. The special thing is that Shivling is installed in 12 rooms. This place is known as Harchowka (kitchen).

Ramgarh Hill

There is a three-chambered Sitabengra cave in the hill of Ramgarh in Surguja district. It is said to be the oldest theater in the country. It is said that Rama reached here during his exile, it was Sita's room. Kalidas composed Meghdootam here elit.

Shivrinarayan

Lord Rama had eaten the ripe berries of Shabari while staying at this place in Janjgir Champa district. Here is the confluence of the Jok, Mahanadi and Shivnath rivers. There is also a temple of Nar-Narayan and Shabari. There is a banyan tree near the temple, which has leaves in the shape of two.

Turturiya

There is a public opinion about this place in Balodabazar Bhatapara district that Maharishi Valmiki's ashram was here. Turturiya was the birthplace of Luv-Kush. The water of Balabhadri nallah emerges from the middle of the rocks, hence the sound of Turtur, gave  the name Turturiya.

Chandkhuri

In this village with 126 ponds of Raipur district, there is a temple of Lord Rama's mother Kaushalya in the middle of Jalsen pond. This is the only temple of Kaushalya Mata in the world. Chandkhuri is said to be the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya, hence it is called the maternal house of Rama.

Rajim

It is called Prayag of Gariaband district, where Sondhur, Parri and Mahanadi meet. It is said that during the exile, Rama had worshiped his Kuldevata Mahadev at this place, hence there is a temple of Kuleshwar Maharaj here. A fair is also held here.

Sihawa

There are ashrams of sages like Muchkund Ashram, Agastya Ashram, Angira Ashram, Shringi Rishi, Kankar Rishi Ashram, Sharbhang Rishi Ashram and Gautam Rishi Ashram in different hills of Sihawa in Dhamtari district. Rama spent some time in the ashram of Dandakaranya meeting the sages.

Jagdalpur

It is the headquarters of Bastar district. Surrounded by forest all around. It is said that Rama had passed through Jagdalpur area during his exile, as the road to Chitrakot leads from here. Jagdalpur was made his last capital by the Kakatiya king, a descendant of the Pandus.

Ramaram

It is believed that Shri Ram had worshiped the earth-goddess here, which today is famous as Mata Chitmitin Amma Devi. Ramaram is a very important religious place of Sukma due to the faith of the people of the region in the Goddess. Ram Ram was identified years ago as Shri Ram Vanagaman Sthal by Shri Ram Sanskritik Shodh Sansthan Trust, New Delhi.
